SAP BI Developer

Profile

A client of ours in Draper, UT is seeking an SAP BI Developer for a contract to hire opportunity.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
The SAP BI Senior Developer provides hands-on technical expertise on the overall architecture, technical design, configuration, implementation, and production support activities of the SAP BI/BW application.

In addition to the technical responsibilities, this individual will be responsible for working directly with our end user community to provide ongoing support and will work closely with project leaders and the business teams to design, develop, and support SAP BI/BW solutions that meet business requirements.
Responsibilities:
-Monitor nightly BI loads on an on-call rotation and resolve load issues as needed.
-Resolve system issues as needed.
-Build and enhance BW objects such as InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transformations, Update Rules, DSO, Extractors, Infosets, Aggregates, Process Chains, DTPs, User Exits, BADI.
-Participates in implementation and testing of SAP SPS upgrades and service pack enhancements.
-Create BEX queries for business users that are used for reporting.
-Modify existing queries to meet constantly changing business needs.
Required Skills:
Technical Skills:
-6-10 years of experience in designing, developing, configuring, and implementing IT solutions.
-Minimum of 4 years working experience in an SAP environment having a mix of core ERP, BW, or CRM experience.
-Must have experience with SAP BW 7.0 or higher.
-Must have ABAP development/coding experience.
-Must have proven ability to translate business requirements, create robust technical designs, and implement and maintain SAP BI solutions.
-Work experience should include developing and performance tuning large BW standard and custom extract processes, BW data modeling, creating Business Warehouse Remote Cubes, Multi-Cubes, ODS Objects, InfoCubes, Update Rules, Info Sources, Transfer Rules, Start Routines, and Info Set Queries.
Hands on experience with BEX and Business Objects.

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field.
