Job Description Summary
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing technical and functional support of Infrastructure, applications, and Tyson business systems for the end-user. This includes responsibility for the technical and functional support of strategic business initiatives, assisting with the development, implementation, and support of internally developed business applications and processes, technical and functional support in a networked environment. The current landscape includes both Cloud based (AWS & GCP) as well as on premise systems.
RESPONSIBILIIES: Collaborate with other IS professionals and technical staff to ensure performance and system needs are met, analyze, and resolve system/application errors in a timely and accurate fashion, provide status reports as requested. Create and maintain documentation for systems and procedures related to the delivered solution. Assist, report, and document on-call support and problem resolution for SAP software applications. Automate the execution of repeatable tasks. Assist in the direction of contracted maintenance and support teams to maintain or regain operational health. Demonstrate problem-solving skills within area of responsibility. Analyze and interpret information pertaining to system needs. Build and maintain systems to support business processes. Perform administration or testing activities that support team goals or department initiatives. Document activities via tracking tools, revise specific documentation and knowledge repositories and communicate with management, other IT teams, and the business as need to keep them informed.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or an equivalent degree with experience equating to a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
Experience: 2 plus years of experience in Information Systems or degree with relevant experience.
Computer Skills: Broad knowledge of multi-user computer systems/applications and cloud offerings, task automation through shell scripting and or automation tools. Knowledge of current technology developments and trends.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical team members. Ability to effectively deliver both written and verbal communication to customers peers and management. Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team environment.
Special Skills: Attitude and Aptitude to learn new technologies, analyze, troubleshoot, and recommend solutions for complex issues. Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize work responsibilities. Able to follow known best practices in administration and performance tuning of databases, components, and underlying compute engines. Understanding of client/server architecture. Ability to work within a team and with other teams to resolve system or application errors.
