To make their product even better than it already is, SAP has started releasing free enhancement packages for current users of the software. These enhancements unlocked and added all types of different functionalities and made the software easy to use overall. There are many that say they couldn't imagine using the software without these enhancements.
The first time that the public saw such an enhancement pack was in December of 2006, and the first downloads was in 2007. Apparently it worked because today users are starting to install the next enhancement package to improve their overall experience.
Ever since releasing their first enhancement pack they've shown no signs of slowing down as they have released yet a third enhancement pack that shows just as much promise as the previous two installments in the series.
So what makes this enhancement package so much better than all the others? A company reported that they can now access functions over the web rather than using the old paper based processes which is a huge improvement in itself. SAP itself announced that in this brand new package there were fifty enterprise services bundles, and they provide functionality beyond what anyone ever thought possible with this software package.
One must not say that because SAP is a broad piece of software it can be used in just about any industry, the services are mostly industry specific, meaning that you can choose the ones that are most relevant to you. This is great for running a business the way you want to and ensuring that the software is optimized for what you do. Best of all, SAP has professional in every industry making sure the features and services are quite correct for each industry, so you can be sure that no matter what it is your company does, the software will be able to handle it and handle it well.
Why is SAP doing this? It's pretty simple, the company doesn't' believe in making their customers wait until they release a major update before they let everyone in on the little changes here and there, especially when those changes can make a difference in the overall experience of the actual product. They aren't the only company that does this, in fact system updates are available for most operating systems, some of which can be seen in the next release. Take for example Microsoft Windows and its several service packs. So while this isn't new, it's always good to see a company offering updates like this.
Hopefully you will see this as yet another reason to use the SAP software, because it's pretty clear that they take care of their own, especially when it comes to ensuring that their software works and includes the needed functionality.
