Are you interested in working in the field of SAP (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing)? If so, you may not want to limit yourself to looking for positions in your hometown, not even in your state, not even in your country. Because of the prevalence of SAP and because those who are proficient in its use are in demand all over the world, you could choose to pursue international jobs in the field and could learn to enjoy some of the most amazing cities on the globe, including Bangalore, Singapore, and Dubai.

SAP Jobs Bangalore

Within India, Bangalore is home to IT professionals from everywhere in the world. Because the city is definitely a center for the high tech industries, you have a good chance of finding employment here. Basically, Bangalore is the capital of an Indian state known as Karnataka; the city is sometimes referred to as the country's Silicon Valley. About 6.2 million people currently call Bangalore home and if you pursue a position here you could be one of them.

If you're worried about leaving the West and heading off to an unfamiliar culture, you might be surprised. Bangalore is the economic center of India and is a city that demonstrates that clearly. The Infosys Building, housing the offices of the largest IT employer in the city, is shaped like an enormous steel pyramid. Offices like this one and others in the city represent a part of the $33 billion USD in IT exports provided by this city to the West. You could be a part of that movement simply by considering taking on a SAP job at one of many IT firms who have called the city their home.

Don't worry about the cost of living in Bangalore either. While expensive by India's standards, the costs are reasonable when compared to the West. Private schools are available for children. Maids and nannies can be hired readily even on an IT professional's salary. You can find a nice 2-bedroom house to rent for an average of $700 per month. Plus, if you have trouble adjusting you can always enjoy the company of other expatriates.

SAP Jobs Singapore

Singapore is a unique environment. As one of the only four city-states left on the globe, the location is the smallest in South Asia. Singapore can be found at the southern end of the Malay Peninsula. Besides this location, another 63 islands are also considered part of the city-state. About 4.8 million people call this area their home and this number is growing exponentially every year, especially as the economy continues to blossom. In 2007, the per capital gross domestic product was almost $50,000 compared to only $47,000 in 2008 for the United States.

If you're interested in living in a foreign country that is very friendly to the West, Singapore is definitely going to be a good choice. English is one of the four national languages in the city-state. However, don't expect to see many people who look like you. Less than 3% of the total population consists of non-Asians, and the predominant religion in Singapore is Buddhism.

If you are also bringing your family to Singapore, you'll be happy to find excellent educational opportunities and cultural activities. In fact, English is the primary language of the school system in Singapore. And remember to take at least one ride on the newly opened Singapore Flyer, the world's tallest ''Great Wheel,'' which gives you an incredible view you won't forget ever.

SAP Jobs in Dubai

Dubai could be considered the gem of the Middle East. It is part of the United Arab Emirates; in fact, it is the largest city in the UAE. On one side of the city is the Persian Gulf but around the city on all other sides is the Arabian Desert. In recent years, the city's wealth and notoriety have skyrocketed. From the construction of man-made islands in the Gulf to the massive fireworks display celebrating the opening of a new hotel, Dubai has made a name for itself by taking everything to an extreme and by being the tourist center of the UAE.

The city is home to about 2.2 million people. While you might expect most of those people to be of Middle Eastern descent, that is not the case. In fact, 70% of the population comes from Asia, including India and Pakistan, about 17% from the UAE, while only about 3% from the West. Although not a national language, English is spoken by most of the population as a way to bridge communication differences between people from such diverse backgrounds.

One of the interesting things about the city's economy is that it was forged from huge profits in the oil and gas industries. However, these interests have largely been replaced by construction, trade, financial industry, and tourism. The switch has not reduced the city's gross domestic product, however. It was an impressive $37 billion.

Before you decide to take up SAP jobs in Dubai, you should remember the city is located in a desert and that means hot, dry weather is standard. From May through September, the average high temperature is over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
