SAP Basis Administrator Jobs
A SAP basis administrator serves as an integrator to the functional and business units for technical services provided by the BASIS team. A SAP basis administrator starts with the initial quick sizing of the system to installation and after go live maintaining the system ensuring the low down time and all the house keeping jobs on daily weekly and yearly basis in terms if OS, DB and SAP. A SAP basis administrator collaborates with all teams to determine strategy and plan for system implementations and develop practices and procedures to manage technologies based on "best practice" standards. A SAP basis administrator works with management to develop methodologies and practices to manage and plan system capacity based on projected growth rate to ensure system performance remains at acceptable levels. A SAP basis administrator performs technical checks, analyzing errors and tracking solutions of errors, planning and performing upgrade- and installations tests for assembly and validation. A SAP basis administrator is always in close contact and cooperation with development, quality management, development system services, translation, and SAP hosting.
A SAP basis administrator requires at least a bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, engineering, or related field. A SAP basis administrator should have minimum of five years of hands-on SAP basis support experience with a solid understanding of SAP BASIS fundamentals. Experience dealing with file interfaces to and from legacy systems is required. A SAP basis administrator should have ability to liaise and communicate flawlessly with internal customers and team members.
