Pratt and Whitney IT-Manufacturing Applications has an open position for an Supply Chain Management (SCM) consultant in East Hartford, CT.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and supporting software solutions for operations and supply chain management using the SAP SCM, SAP R/3, and the MCA Solutions products.
Tasks include:
-Project planning, management and execution
-Translation of customer requirements into functional and technical specifications
-Adoption and implementation of new technologies
-Systems design and documentation
-Management of onsite and offshore/LCS programming resources
-Technical and functional problem solving analysis
-Ensuring project compliance to our SDLC standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements
-Proactive leadership for continuous improvement and ACE Gold sustainment
-BA/BS degree w/10+ years experience
-MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience
-PhD degree w/4+ years experience
-Ability to work well in a team environment as well as a highly matrixed organization.
-Strong project management skills and competency in software development life cycle.
-4+ years of experience in developing and deploying software solutions for operations and/or supply chain management.
-Minimum of 3 years experience in SAP configuration, support & development.
-Relational database development skills and experience are required.
-Strong customer relationship skills, communication skills, and teamwork skills a must.
-Deep knowledge of supply chain management (forecasting, planning, transportation, network design, etc).
-Deep knowledge and experience in the functional/technical areas:
-R/3-PP and MM modules including MRP
-SCM-Primarily Demand Planning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP)
-MCA - Service Parts Optimization (SPO)
-Proficient in continuous improvement using the ACE/6 Sigma methodology
-Experienced in IT project management and Software Development Life Cycle management
-ERP Technical experience identifying and developing business and technical requirements for data conversions, interfaces, user exits, batch and interactive reporting.
-End user training & documentation experience
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office toolset is required.
Desired experience:
-at least 2 full life-cycle implementations.
-significant MRP experience
